FAQ
Does License Maxing change anything in my tenant without asking?
No. Syncs are read-only. The two write paths — offboarding and savings-plan execution — run only when someone in your organization explicitly triggers them, and both are recorded in the audit log. (One nuance: if your tenant's usage reports are set to anonymize user names, we remediate that report setting during sync so analytics can work — see Connect Microsoft 365.)
How current is the usage data?
Syncs run on a schedule, but the underlying Microsoft 365 usage reports lag by roughly 24–48 hours — that's Microsoft's refresh cadence, not ours. Every report page shows a freshness badge with the "data as of" date.
Do you read our email or files?
No. Usage reports contain counts and sizes (messages sent, storage used, files edited) — never content.
What happens when we remove a teammate from License Maxing?
Their membership and active sessions are revoked immediately. If you use directory sync, deprovisioning in your identity provider does the same thing automatically.
Can we require change approval before licenses are touched?
Yes — Enterprise organizations can connect ServiceNow so offboarding executions open and close change requests automatically.
What does it cost?
See pricing. The short version: free up to 50 managed seats, a per-seat Pro plan for execution features, and custom Enterprise agreements for SSO and ServiceNow workflows.
We found a discrepancy between your numbers and our invoice. Why?
License unit prices vary by agreement (EA, CSP, direct). The calculator uses your configured prices where you've set them and list prices otherwise — set your real unit costs in the app for exact math.
How do we get help?
support@licensemaxing.com or the support form. Enterprise customers get priority response.
